Dave and I drove to the Western United States to explore the Biblical Flood geology that is literally all over the West. We visited Palo Duro Canyon in the Texas Panhandle, The Painted Desert and Petrified Forest, Sedona, Arizona, Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon and the Rockies. This post will be mostly pictures along with some explanations of the sediments as well as links to more detailed articles and short videos from geologists. While we are not geologists ourselves, we love to study this topic and share what we learn with the thousands who come through the Genesis Walk Museum. We hope our trip and the pictures and videos will impact you as it has impacted us. We begin with Genesis as we look at the layers in the earth. From there we learn of our great God and Savior. Thanks for coming along..
These sedimentary layers that are exposed and we can see here were laid down early in The Genesis Flood of Noah's day, but not as early as those in the Grand Canyon.
Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo, Texas. This is the second largest canyon in the United States.
Some of the rocks that can be found in Palo Duro Canyon. Scroll down for links to articles explaining that Noah's Flood is responsible for this canyon.
ICR (Institute for Creation Research) scientists in Dallas, Texas, have visited this canyon and written a few articles to help give an understanding of where this fits in the geology of The Flood (Genesis 6-8). Here are some short and easy to understand articles: Palo Duro Canyon Rocks Showcase Deep Time

I hiked down into the canyon for about half and hour. Behind me is the Coconino Sandstone. These 3 videos from the film, Is Genesis History, explain the evidence that this was a watery deposition. Coconino Sandstone, Desert or Flood? More about the Coconino Crossbeds in the Coconino |
